The "real" 2023070 Lionel Junction Christmas set with lighted Fastrack

Update, the plot thickens.  The set with the tank car is shown as 6-85414 in one of the online retailers webpage.  Be interesting to see if this set is actually made or was just a photo mixup.

Based on some recent posts here, lots of folks waiting on that new Lighted FasTrack. It will be included in some sets but is also available as separate sale. The Lionel Shipping Schedule (always a crap shoot) has it among the many "December arrivals."

At $299.00 MSRP junk like that gives toy trains a bad name! Lionel should not even allow their name on it!

Selling "Junk" like that allows them to make the trains that are not so "Junkie". 

There are two sets

6-85414 Red Front Junction Engine set was not cataloged it was only made as an exclusive supposedly for QVC and then placed into Kohls. I am going to see as I just ordered it let’s see what shows up at the door. I already have the 2023070 Green Front Junction Engine set.

JSCARPO - Be interesting in seeing what the actual 6-85414 set looks like. I've also seen it advertised on Walmart, HSN and Amazon.  It's also on the LionelStore.com.  For a while Lionel was advertising some sets in their catalog as "hobby shop exclusives" meaning only traditional dealers could sell them. So by changing some colors and a piece of rolling stock I guess Lionel just created a "non hobby shop exclusive".

FINALLY RECEIVED THE ORDER AND IT IS A DIFFERENT SET!

So the mystery is solved LOL they did make two sets , different model numbers and different colors, and yes different color boxes.

I ordered this mystery set in the red box on December 28,2020 and showed delivered on December 30, 2020 and it was no where to be found at my residence the FEDEX tracking number came back as delivered left on porch! problem here is I do not have a porch so someone got a new train set... It was a hassle back and forth with LIONEL to try to get this set replaced. Figured maybe there really was not a set after all figured they would respond and say something like " oh the set is not available any longer but we have a similar set" I was wrong they did the right thing came through and set the set,, so the set showed up and we now can confirm there are two different sets... Lionel kept a Happy Lionel customer Happy here!!!
