Updated 10/25 with Breakfast Pics......Thursday Morning, October 19th Pre-York Breakfast

Peter, thank you for all the photographs.  I am planning to make my first trip to York this month.  I am only going for Thursday and Friday, so I will work hard to get moving early enough Thursday morning to join you and the gang.

I will be there!

I am planning on coming to York, Lord willing, so I should be able to make it there.

 You'll have to REALLY get up early!   Looks to be about a four hour trip for you.

We will be there!!!  Always enjoy this gathering!  It is as good as the meet itself for me!!

Yes I am alive and well after a couple of years of health troubles, divorce and relocation, the mythical Peach Hollow is now in Sumerduck, VA, as the song goes "out past where the asphalt ends".  I have emerged, stronger in faith, healthy, and getting ready to build a new layout. Y'all enjoy York next week, see y'all at breakfast Thursday. Prayers for safe travels for everyone going.

How many people know where Sumerduck is?  I lived in nearby Goldvein from '87 to '93.  I'm glad things have been coming together in your life, and you can get involved with trains again!  I plan to be there Thursday for my first time.

Peter, make sure the clock knows there is going to be a BIG crowd at those back tables..

Glad I don't follow the Patriots, Ben!!  LOL. We Pittsburgh area folk have been given fits by the Pat's.

If I can pull it off it will be my first trip to York.... and if I make the trip I'll be at breakfast !!

I am getting very excited to see everyone. I just made the reservation for the 19th......I told them at least 30. We can usually add more tables....Official start is 0800....I will be there a little earlier.

Last night I re-read the DCS and Legacy meeting announcements....Glad I did....or, Weds I would have headed for the Wyndham! I leave Richmond about 4-4:30. DC traffic, yuck! Hope to walk in about 8-8:30.

Yes Peter, I know what that D.C. Traffic is like.  It will take you longer to get there than it will take me from farther away.  That is of course as long as there isn't too much construction on my 225 miles on the Penna Turnpike.

I went by the main entrance today to make a delivery in downtown York, looks like a building was gutted by fire on the right side main gate on west market street.

What building Pete?  Are you talking about the diner?

It was the building to the right of a gas station, public indoor shooting range. Just has the four walls standing, roof and 97% of the inside is gone.

No gas station next to the diner that I see.

I'm just hoping construction season is over between Towson, MD and York, as I am staying there and driving up each morning.

The gas station and this building are on west market street, go to google earth and look for the railroad tracks. The tracks go right behind these two buildings, if you were to walk out of the orange hall the grandstands are to your left and west market street is to your right.
