Pete, what does that have to do with the diner? Can you be a bit more clear as to what you're trying to say? What is "this building" you are referring to? There are no RR tracks near the diner.
John, I believe the Fire was down by the Fairgrounds and Pete had just posted it in this breakfast post. That seems to be the confusion. Round the Clock Diner is fine & well.
That's what I was getting, but it sure wasn't clear why it was here. I was just trying to understand what was burning. As long as it's not on the fairgrounds, it's not likely to affect my York trip.
....and I started thinking that I was the Pete that said something......you know, caught up in all the euphoria of the Yankees win, I could have said anything......

Better to get that out here than with a patient!
Great win for all you Yankee fans.

On an unrelated note. This breakfast is rapidly becoming the most expensive breakfast on the planet!
Last York, I had my arm twisted () for the NJHR custom run reefers and this York, I'm buying some track from Ben and a brewery from Clem.
We could almost start a bandit meet!
Anyone else share my experiences?

GO YANKEES! See you all at breakfast. The weather is looking great. I will be at York on Monday as usual.

If the series goes to Game 6, it's going to be a ball to watch it at some York sports bar on Friday night.
I was at the game in the Bronx on Monday night and stayed up for last night's game. I may recover in time to scream myself hoarse in York.
Looking forward to it all.

What does this have to do with Trains? I think this thread should be deleted.
Just kidding guys congratulations you earned it over the last 3 games......but come on we haven't won since 1948 which is wayyyyyyyyyy before my time.

I agree Bryan; I have been wanting to see a Pirates-Indians World Series since I was in high school in the early '70s! I thought the Pirates were finally getting their act together, and their ship is sinking while the Indians are doing good.
Safe travels to all......if anyone is worried that they haven't signed up....don't worry, the sign up is just to give me a rough idea of numbers.....don't hesitate, just show up Thursday AM....all are welcome!
Again....Safe travels everyone! I will be arriving Weds night....hope to catch the tail end of the DCS meeting....
Peter
Thank you, Peter!! Safe travels to all!!
Peter if you can get to York from Richmond in 4hrs you're a better driver than I, or maybe more daring.

It all depends on the traffic....it is 210-215 miles, all superhighway....but I will hit DC about 6PM and that will surely slow me down.

Made it here in good time, actually went to the other Round the Clock Diner(East) on Memory Lane, just a stones throw away from where we are staying. Not to bad of a drive to the one on Arsenal by the looks of it. Went and got my co-worker's badge so we are ready for tomorrow. See everyone there.

Missed you at breakfast this morning Pete, got sat at the rookie table. I think you left when I had just finished eating. Hope to run into you tomorrow at the OGR Meeting at 2, if I can find that.
Here are the pics from breakfast. I want to thank everyone who came for making it a great time. Already looking forward till April!
