I saw a comment about multiple TIU, it was stated they needed a WIFI for each unit.
is that true?

That's correct.
No way to daisy chain the WiFi to the tiu?
Apparently not.

Been there, tried that, it's not doable.
That sounds like a challenge. Lol
What a WIU and a USB hub?
Matt,
What a WIU and a USB hub?
That's exactly what I tried. There is no other way to connect multiple TIUs to a single WIU.
I cant imagine the internal protocols of the WIU would support such a setup
Then we'll just have to pull a Kobayashi Maru
The only way I can think of would be a DB9 splitter to two TIUs. The catch is that both TIUs would likely need to have the same address and there could be signal degradation between the WIU and the TIUs. Might be interesting to try, but I don't see the benefits outweighing the problems associated with duplicate TIUs within a layout.

That will not work.
I got my set up working quite well before I gutted the track wiring on the layou. I've got about 40% of the layout rewired and it's working very well so far. Not gonna try to mess with anything at this point just to see it it'll work. I already spent the money on the wius
