Welp, I added TMCC with cab 1 to my DCS controlled layout. Why? Because I need to do a factory reset on a TMCC locomotive. Ill say this, I didn't realize how much I like DCS until I installed the TMCC. I suppose the Legacy system would be on the same level as DCS...right?

They are competing systems. I have both DCS and Legacy and would have a difficult time choosing between the two. I like them both. I have never had anything TMCC though, so I can't say on that? I am sure some more opinionated replies will be along shortly.
MR UP,
I run both DCS & Legacy, end result is the same with different engineering technology providing almost the same running abilities. I run DCS about 80% of the time, because it also controls 90% of everything Legacy does, however if you run TMCC/Legacy on FasTrack, the Cab1 & Cab 2 operate all the FasTrack Command Control wireless low voltage Switches, via Track Power, as many as 99 of them, the DCS must use a wired AIU to control switches. I like both system and IMO running both is the best way to operate a Layout.

Dave,
Looking at your picture I spy a legacy remote. Will that remove work with the tmcc base?
MR UP,
Legacy Cab 2 will control all TMCC & More, you are seeing the Legacy 990 Base with the Cab2 sitting in it. Myself I really like the big Cab2 Hand Held Remote Control.

Nope, just as the Cab-1 will not work with the Legacy base. But the Legacy base/Cab-2 set (990) comes with a cable to connect the TMCC and Legacy bases together. I did this so that I could use my two Cab-1s and my Legacy remote to run trains. Well, more like I run with the Cab-2 for Legacy locomotives and one of the Cab-1s for TMCC locomotives and my son runs with the other Cab-1.
