As I get used to this new-fangled TMCC set-up, I discover quirks.

My small layout is Atlas track.  When going over the switches, my one TMCC loco (Frisco 4-6-0) "stutters," in that it will jump ahead for a fraction of a second and then slow again to its normal speed, sometimes four or five times until it clears the stitch.  It does this only when moving slowly--like in the yard--and this behavior is sometimes accompanied by sparks.

What do I need to do?

(1.) Clean the switch and associated pick-up rollers on the engine.  Rerun and see if this cleans-up the stutter. You may also want to add a very very small amout of lubicant to the pick-up roller.   As an engine with (2) pickup rollers proceeds across the switch, there is a point where only one pick-up roller will supply power until the one crossing the dead rail section is again powered.   Hopefully this will correct the issue.  It becomes more complex.
