TMCC Mogul 6-38017 Board Question...?

Soo LineOGR Forum Member DIGITAL SUBSCRIBER

I repaired one of these today and the receiver board here in the picture has a small 2 way switch on the edge of the board.

Can someone enlighten me as to it's purpose?

The Engine is a CN Mogul TMCC #86 6-38017

The Board is Ad20A/I.R. Receiver (Modular Steam)
