I figured to start a new post so everyone can view it.

I had sent her a few train related items a few years ago. I went back into my old emails and found at least 10 emails of us figuring out how i was going to ship these items she wanted, to her. I have her address and last name which i will not post here. I'm thinking maybe i can write a letter and mail it to her address and see if i get a response, from her or her family.  what do you guys think

But very pragmatic. I concur. If she has passed, it would be nice to be able to do something in her memory.

To Alex, Gilly, Mallard, et.al.  Please do.  And let's all get together and do a tribute to Nicole if the worst has happened.  Bob Severin

Do it, Alex. BTW, in case the person receiving and reading it isn't Nicole and they might not be able to read or write English, perhaps you could hook up with someone on this forum who's fluent in Dutch and have them translate your English version.

Sending both an English and Dutch translation of your letter might  increase the likelihood of receiving a response.

Or, you could Google a Dutch translation.

Forum member "N.Q.D.Y"

Eric,

Nicole N.Q.D.Y (Not Quite Dead Yet) is a very dear lady known to almost all here on the forum. Her posts were always positive and upbeat despite her weakened state. She is one special person to almost all that had the chance of communicating with her.

God's Blessing's,

"Pappy"

She is a real bright spot around here, always cheerful, great sense of humor and very knowledgeable about Lionel trains and equipment. She provides lots of good advice to anyone needing assistance. She became ill (relapse actually I think) and no one has heard from her in quite some time. Her forum name is N.Q.D.Y. (which she said stood for Not Quite Dead Yet, in reference to her battle with her illness). I believe she is British, but lives in the Netherlands.

Alex M,

I think it's a great idea to try and contact her. Please try.

I couldn't agree more!  Great idea!

Alex - a friend of mine has a friend who is Dutch.  If needed please reach out to me at my email in my profile and I can reach out for contact information in the event you would like to have a letter translated.  I met this person at a birthday party for my friend's son.  I had lived in Germany in my youth and mistook the person's accent as being Austrian. Anyway, that's how we got to talking and I learned she was Dutch.
