Yesterday was session #3 in Como.  We keep getting more people each time.  Yesterday we had around 20!  We can always use more.

We worked in two groups.  One continued laying the section towards the turntable and the other worked on extending the mainline.  We will not work on the turntable lead anymore until the turntable is repaired.  A contractor is doing that work and he needs access to the pit.  You will see plywood near the turntable that he will use to make forms to make new concrete supports for the ring rail.

I took action photos this time. Yes you will see most of us standing around but we do work very hard. This was near the end of day. We placed many ties, 8 of us move the "lighter" rail into place and 10 move the heavier mainline rail.  We then install the rail joiners and then spike one rail.  We then gauge the opposite rail and spike it in.

The next session is on Sunday, July 2nd at 9:30 am.  Lunch is served in the old hotel next to the depot.

See you there!
