Hi Guys, does anyone know if anybody manufactures a rerailer for 3 rail track. I have a couple of places on my layout that are "hard" to reach, a rerailer would make life on the railroad great.
Thanks in advance

Check here.
I suspect Melvin means something more like this, though the one pictured is for HO gauge.
In HO, these can help correct "minor" issues when a wheel hops the track, but not enough to topple the car or disconnect the couplers. Hence, the usefulness for areas that are hard to reach. Putting these in tunnels or other inaccessible areas can help correct minor derailments and stop you from the agony of retrieving the car(s) by hand.
I'm not sure such a thing exists for O Gauge.

Here's a U tube video showing a modified lionel fastrack rerailer. I am definitely going to modify mine.

That's a neat mod for opening the couplers automatically, but it's still just for putting the car on the track by hand.
Unless we are trying to do Evel Knievel ramp jumps, the FT unit can't help as a rerailer.
The FT unit is only a railer, as it is correctly titled on it's packaging.

I'm sorry my mistake, I did have a section of track that was giving me problems, My fix was to use 2 pcs of plastruct ( I believe it was 1/8 X 1/4) and glued it to the ties,( I use Gargraves track) about 1/4 inch inside of the rails and forming the ends toward the centerrail making a V on each end. I never had a problem after that. I would take a picture but i have since changed that section of the layout and I really don't know where it would be.
I believe Gargraves make rerailer rails similar to that used by the prototype on both ends of a bridge or trestle.

Unfortunately NO. I have been after Atlas O to make an insert for years and they don't want to invest for the tooling. Paul G and Co doesn't think there is a market for them in O gauge. Heck from What I have herd for new track products, the #1 item to make is the #4 switch [ similar to 072 switch] then the 063 switch followed by a rerailer.
Melvin, my brothers and I remember a rerailer track section on our '50s Lionel layout. We divided all the track, etc. when Dad died and I've been looking for it. I'm beginning to think Dad's was custom made and may turn up in my sister's stuff some day (my nephew hasn't unpacked all of hers).
My "Want" for the rerailer has been with E bay for a long time and none of their "notice" emails have turned up a 3 rail Rerailer track similar to this two rail.
I'm saving this photo to use as an example to make my own rerailer (when I get a roundtoit).
Someone made one using a 3D printer: https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=RH0e4KAIJhM
I think the grooved section needs to be deep and wider to make a good rerailer. MHO
Yeah, they don't work so well for that purpose, but they're as close as you can get ATM.
After five years of searching, an O tubular 3 rail Rerailer is being manufactured with a 3D printer.
After I test the one I ordered I may request a longer one to be inserted between the end ties after removing the center tie. They're very detailed. They would be great for preschoolers on the floor track.

You can’t post a link, but you can include the auction ID. That comes directly from Alan.
Thank you, Jim. If I go to a browser and put in "O tubular 3 rail Rerailer" the listing is there.
It's listed in an ebay store and is not an auction. Here is "Seller information - outrageous.deals-4u (22402)
When I set up test track I will take photos.
If you're printing your own, there are 2 on Thingiverse:
https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:260258
and https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:5405293
The first is designed for O tubular track, the second may be more of a "railer" than a re-railer.
I'm going to print them and fiddle around with them a bit and see what mods could be made to use them with stuff like Gargraves or as a faux crossing such as lesser gauges use.
How hard could it be to make?
Tbe eBay Auction number for the re-railer for tubular track is 284612302919
I wish Atlas O came out with a rerailer for their sectional track like they have for their other guages.

Got it. Exactly the ID that I was looking for. But I ordered two of the O-27 versions instead from the seller’s store.

I agree. Atlas was once largely a track company, but times changed as they began selling locomotives and rolling stock, making the track lines less important to the company. I used Atlas rerailers in both HO and N gauges for years.

No photos. My tests failed. The search goes on for a 10" (full length) rerailer
I would think a video of how they failed would be helpful to anyone thinking of getting these. Maybe they just need some refinement?
