You certainly have a gift for weathering, Steve. Your personal record has been awarded ten merits.

outstanding work---
Love the cattle car! Super nice. Malcolm
hi sirt, nice job on the cars.you do great work.
Thanks Guys, I forgot about this post from back in Jan.
You will enjoy the result of decorating these types of cars. There is so much detail in the wood grain that undecorated cars often go unnoticed.
Using a wash then colored pencils are some options that can be applied to really make the wood and rivets standout.
Choosing a mix of colors can simulate older or newer replacement boards as well.
Give it a try; I’m sure the outcome will be very rewarding.
Steve
Your weathering is outstanding as always Sirt! You've got the rusted roofs down perfect.
How many hours do you invest in these models to get these kinds of result? I'm sure you're faster now than when you started. Just curiou.
Butch
Two to three hrs. per car or diesel.
I missed this the first time around. Excellent!
Outstanding work, Steve!
Peter

Beautiful models!
All very nice Steve, I've got to give that a try sometime.
Steve
Excellent work. The pencil tip has been terrific. It allows a lot more control for fine details.
