I have a tmcc Y3 that needs traction tire. The service page list 3/4" tire and of course currently out of stock. I have plenty of MTH tires. I believe the 0023 or 0025 mm tire will fit .
Has anyone used the MTH tires for their Lionel engines, and are the grooves in the wheels the same width?
Any help here is greatly appreciated

The MTH tires are actually the preferred replacement tires.
I use MTH tires all the time on Lionel stuff. 
OK so what size/part# for my Acela?
Without looking, I'd say it's probably the MTH DE-0000018 diesel tire. That's good for a vast majority of the Lionel and MTH diesel and electric models. I'd have to measure the wheel to be sure.
