This is what the hobby is all about!
This past weekend, I hosted the Detroit 3 Railers, over a dozen YouTubers, and friends that I've met through various social media platforms. It was a chance for us all to get together, share the hobby we love, and build camaraderie. People attended from all over the country; Illinois, Missouri, Indiana, Pennsylvania, Ohio, Maryland, New York, and of course Michigan. Hosting an event this size (over 30 people) is something I could only dream of when I was younger. Now, its reality, and I feel incredibly blessed to have so many friends to enjoy his hobby with. Big thanks to the Detroit 3 Railers for letting me borrow the modular layout and everyone who helped set up and tear down.

Up and Running!
Staging
Being the electrical engineer that he is, Sid from Sid's Trains on YouTube, learns the inner working of the D3R club layout
Tony (The Rambles on YouTube) getting his T1 set up.
Bill B. (Ozark Midland & Southern Railway on YouTube) gets his Mopac units ready to run.
Dave and Don Lambert explaining to everyone how they're continuously told they can't do something on their layout. Then proceed to successfully do it anyway
Steve Koferl supervising the train running. Steve drove all the way from Long-Island.
My new puppy, Wally, wondering what the heck all these people are doing in his backyard.
Food and drinks in the garage with one rule: Don't Touch The Supra!!!
My basement layout was running all day so people could check on the progress. Adam snaps a few photos of Bill's B&O steamer coming across the bridges.
Johnny (Audamus on YouTube) blogging on the turntable progress.
Sam (Sam's O Gauge Trains on YouTube) took tons of great photos of my layout over the weekend.
Big Steam!
Matt (MattyC Trains on YouTube) enjoying his Santa Fe 3751
Heading into the evening, Adam (Train Wizard Productions on YouTube) sets up his gold plated Chessie engine. The strobes were perfect for some night time running.
Even had my colleague from work, Charlie, stop in to run some of his MPC and post war trains.
I had to throw this picture in, because these new W&LE Ohio Bicentennial locomotives from Stockyard Express are AWESOME!
Chris Montagna (Chris's Trains & Things on YouTube) was here all weekend giving me a hand with countless things. I've said it many times, even without trains, Chris and I would be best buds.
Thanks again for everyone who made it out. I hope it was worth the trip and I can't wait to see you all at York!
