I just opened the new April issue of the TCA Quarterly magazine to find in the “Editor’s Column” the sad news that this renowned Lionel chronicler has left us. There were no details included as it was apparently a last-minute addition to his column;
perhaps others have more information to add.
Mr. Hollander’s books on Lionel history are justly famous. His contributions to the toy train hobby, enormous.
A terrible loss to our hobby. May he rest in well-earned peace with my deepest gratitude for enhancing my collecting experience for so many, many years.
