I will be attending the Plano train show on Saturday to talk to members of the North Texas Council of Model Railroad Clubs about possible future participation by SGMA at one or both of their shows. Who should I talk to at the Plano show?

While at the show on Saturday, I would also be happy to talk to anyone who is considering joining SGMA-MAC (SGMA's Mid-America Chapter). Just let me know where and when you want to meet me at the show. I should arrive just before the show opens and leave in the afternoon.

I attended the show on Saturday. I must say I throughly enjoyed myself! The many modular layouts in multiple gauges were great and the Plano Centre is a most attractive venue. My only complaint, the toy train hobby wasn't fully represented. Where was the tinplate?

While I was there only the Lionel club ran any tinplate and they ran it on their single loop of dual Standard/O gauge 5-rail tinplate track. What was missing from that show was a group like SGMA to setup and run a dedicated tinplate layout. IMHO had a dedicated tinplate layout like SGMA's been present, it would have been the hit of that show.
