I wasn't able to convince him that a 120' plate girder wasn't what most space-restricted O scalers needed or wanted... that perhaps a 20' or 40' would be much better.

Sad, because his bridges (and signals) are state of the art.  Models of awesome beauty.

In the early 2000's, before his N and HO business really took off, I approached him on producing the UP style cantilever signal in O scale. He was going to do it if I could generate enough sales to justify it. About that time I switched to S for a few years and never gave it another thought. I'm sure he would produce pretty much anything if enough interest (reservations) were made.

Guys,

Our HO club ordered Pennsy signal bridges from Train Cat about 2 or 3 years ago and they were simply the best. Yes, you had to know how to solder, but they were very precise photo etched brass sheet stock pieces and went together flawlessly. For as delicate and flimsy as the individual pieces were, they built up into a remarkably strong structure.

I read recently that the owner has had some family health problems the last year or so and has fallen behind on many orders. They still have an internet site and are still soliciting business, but I do not know if the health issues are resolved, or not. Try to contact them and be patient if a reply in not quickly forthcoming.

Hope this helps.
