Yup, I go every year with my son. Don't forget the step stool...

Great, great show. A lot of the same thing year in and out, but there is enough to make anyone happy. Last year my son (then 5) made it from 10am to closing at 5pm-ish. And we still didn't see everything.

Edit- don't forget to print off the free kids coupon off their website.

Yes, there are a great number of O scale dealers and manufacturers represented. Not so much a swap meet, but there are some really great deals to be had regardless. You can check out the list of dealers on the Trainfest website.

**Hint** - for a bonus, a few local clubs usually have their layouts open on Saturday night. Most notably NAPM (booth 1304) and the Milwaukee N' Southeastern (1117). While not O scale (and if your feet aren't tired out) they are worth seeing; NAPM in particular is a "don't miss." Just ask the guys at the respective booths for info. The local Lionel Clubs (3325 and 4308) might have info on O scale layouts.

I plan on being there on Saturday with my 2 daughters and 4 grandchildren.

TrainFest is a real treat for both the operators / collectors-- but more importantly, TrainFest has a wonderful "attitude" of making the whole show a family affair. All the exhibitors with their displays and operating layouts to the stores that have setup booths  to the manufacturers ALL go out of their way to treat the kids very well and make it a blast that no one wants to go home.  This is really hard to fully explain until you compare/ experience TrainFest to the normal "collectors" train shows and other model train "meets" that I have experienced over the years.

This will be our 6th year going.

The LCCA team of Mike Battaglia and Club President Dennis DeVito will be there at the LCCA booth and display.  Thay will be adjacent to Lionel's display.  Stop by and see the LCCA mini layout in action.  This layout was designed and built by TW TrainWorx of Dallas Texas.  This layout demonstrates what can be done with o-gauge track in a small footprint.  The layout fits into the size of a conventional pallet.  Stop by and talk trains. I am certain Mike and Dennis will be glad to talk to you.  Spread the word.  This is a great train show and venue.
