An announcement just posted by the WISE Division of the NMRA:

I have some sad news to share. After a lengthy discussion The Board of Directors of the Wisconsin Southeastern Division of the NMRA has made the decision NOT to proceed with Trainfest this year. We really wanted to have Trainfest this year, however we think the risks are too great to hold the show in 2021. Trainfest is facing large challenges with the cost structure of the event and the number of volunteers it takes to put on the show.
We are at a point where we should start spending money to put on the 2021 show. Money we cannot recover if the show has to be cancelled. Such a loss would place the 2022 show at risk.
It is too early to tell where the direction of the show will be 12 months from now.

The GOOD news is the 46th Annual Great New York State Model Train Fair is on and bigger and better this year!  It will be in the new Exposition Center, the largest building of its type between New York City and Cleveland Ohio.  Over 300 vendor tables, 30+ operating layouts.  $10/adults, children 15 and under FREE.  Plan NOW to attend!

This particular group probably has a number of big issues to unwind regarding venue, people who work the venue, hotels room contracts being held, etc., and just can't get it done in time.

Unwind is the key word.  You probably haven't had a wedding event rescheduled several times over the past 15 months, and then still on hold; or known someone who has.  I do.  It hasn't been pretty; and its just a small wedding.

I can see why an event the size of Trainfest would have to postpone once again.  Not desirable, but not the end of the world.
