It was announced this morning that Trainfest will be held this year, after a 2-year hiatus. It had been operated by the WISE Division of the NMRA for decades, but that division was rendered "inactive" late last year, which put future shows in doubt. The sponsors now will be Great American Train Shows and Kalmbach Media. The venue will be in the Milwaukee area somewhere, but not necessarily at State Fair Park, where it has been for decades.

More to come, I am sure. Hooray!

i have never bin to this show  is it as big as york? is it o gauge? any info will help

Considering the change in sponsorship and possible change of location, it's hard to say what 2022 will hold, but based on previous shows...

Not as big as York - more scale-oriented - lots of layouts, most of which are done to a very high standard - several clinics and demonstrations - focused more on layouts than selling - some 3-rail, and the SGMA has set up there in the past.

Past shows have been well worth the trip (4 hours each way for me).  Hoping the new version will be as good.
