For those of you who have never been to Train Stock but have signed up to go, prepare yourselves for sensory overload.  You will be seeing the most fantastic 3 rail, O gauge layout in existence.  The NJ Hi-Railers have done a fantastic job with their small city.  They also have the two layouts from the Sopranos TV series and Tom Snyder's Standard Gauge layout.  So there's something for everybody.  And the food.  Well, let's just say that if anyone leaves hungry, it's not Chef Vinnie's fault.

I was a 90 pound weakling when I joined the club.  Vinny fattened me up

Ben,

I wish I could be there with you guys!  I will be at Kennesaw GA for another  great LCCA Special Event on 1-19-13.   I wish I could be in both places at the same time.  I am excited and am looking forward to our upcomming 4-13-13 LCCA Special Event at the NJ Hi-Railers celebrating the 151st Anniversary of the Great Train Chase.

Have fun and tell everyone we said hi!

Ben,

I'm planning on being at my first Trainstock next week with a possible +1.  If I want to bring some trains to run are there any requirements on what i can bring?  I just bought a Weaver VO1000 with TMCC at a train show last weekend.  My TMCC is not set up right now so I might bring it to see how everything works.

Joe

Hi Everybody  FYI if you use a GPS to get to our club its going to bring you through downtown Paterson  Many lights, bad traffic and not a great place  Use these for a quicker, easier and more picturesque route.

From Points South

1- Take the Garden State Pkwy to exit 156. Merge onto route 20 north. Stay on rte 20 and left exit at 5th avenue. Make a left on fifth. Go over the railroad tracks and make the first left onto River street. Make a right on 6th avenue and we are in the big tan building .

2- Take the NJ Tpke to exit 16W route 3 West. Take route 3 about 2 miles and take Route 21 north. Route 21 north becomes route 20.Stay on rte 20 and left exit at 5th avenue. Make a left on fifth. Go over the railroad tracks and make the first left onto river street. Make a right on 6th avenue and we are in the big tan building.

From Points North

Take the Garden State Pkwy south and exit at Route 80 west. Exit route 80 at exit 60 onto route 20 North. Stay on rte 20 and left exit at 5th avenue. Make a left on fifth. Go over the railroad tracks and make the first left onto river street. Make a right on 6th avenue and we are in the big tan building.

From Point West

Take route 80 east to exit 60 route 20 north. Stay on rte 20 and left exit at 5th avenue. Make a left on fifth. Go over the railroad tracks and make the first left onto river street. Make a right on 6th avenue and we are in the big tan building.

From Points East

Take the George Washington bridge. Merge onto route 80 west. Exit at exit 60 which is route 20 north. Stay on rte 20 and left exit at 5th avenue. Make a left on fifth. Go over the railroad tracks and make the first left onto river street. Make a right on 6th avenue and we are in the big tan building.

One other note of direction for those of you from out of town who might be staying in the city and want to get to Trainstock via New Jersey Transit.  Here's the best way from the Hawthorne Train Station, in case your cabbie doesn't know the way.

Leave the train station on Washington Street.  Take your first left, Lincoln St.

All the way to the end, take a left on Wagaraw Road

Through a light or two, take a right on Lincoln Ave.

Right away, you'll cross a bridge over the lovely Passaic River.  The road will come to a fork, you'll bear right.  That's River Street

Follow River Street a few blocks til you see The Tropicana (no, it's not THE Tropicana!!) Nightclub.  You'll see a green Tropicana sign on your right.  That's 6th street.  Take a right and The Hi-Railers building is right there.

Google shows it the way you list it.  How about parking?
