Just want to confirm that O Gauge Railroading will be represented by Ed Boyle and that would be me.

Will have the latest magazines and OGR Videos for sale, since I am driving and have room to bring them.

Really looking forward to meeting everyone,  Also have a couple of things to run if time permits.

Did I mention that Vinnie is one of my FAVORITE people of all time?

Hi all!

Plan on being there tomorrow, two of us. This being my first, I guess you'd say I'm a Trainstock virgin?

Anyway, 10 AM till when??? Would someone please post address where this is being held so I can plug it into my GPS? Also, being new to this, what can I expect the parking situation to be? Ample onsite free or paid parking, nearby pay lots or garages?

Based on your personal experiences what's my best bet for a hassle free experience, to drive there myself or take NJTransit train or Amtrack to Trainstock? If train's the better alternative, what station would we get off at and then what would be the best or only way to get to Trainstock from the train station?

Also, is the $5 per person food charge paid at the door or when you eat?

Please excuse all the questions as I don't mean to be a PITA, but this is my first and I want it to be the best experience which I'm certain it will be.

BTW, is there a website for Trainstock 5 with FAQ's or to post Q&A's?

Thanks for your advice and help. Hope to see and meet many of you from this forum there.

Kenn

Well, it's official. I will not be attending this year's Trainstock. Work is getting in the way and I'm not getting the help I normally get on a Saturday plus I am picking up about 10 cases of close-coded mallomars tomorrow and keeping them to myself!!!

You can visit me at my 3 Shop-Rites tomorrow and I'll give you some mallomars for visiting but I think you'd rather attend the best train party on the east coast for which I have to miss.

I'll see you all at Greenberg Edison and/or at York in April.

Marty and Mike--enclose a JETS ghost in the picture of us 3 !

P.S. Go Ravens- kick some Pats a--!

Hi Ben, I'm sorry to say I can't make it tomorrow. I have time off from work but I may be coming down with the flu. I have a cough, the kind that comes on fast and I have been snezzing.

Other then that I don't feel all that bad, though I still feel it's not fair to share this with anyone else considering the nasty bug going around. It's probably just a cold but better safe then sorry.

So have fun to all, I'll try to pop in on the HIGH RAIL scan cameras.

My wife had to make a quick trip to Florida to visit her family and I actually thought I had a chance to come up this year!

Alas, I too have succumbed to this nasty flu and have been in bed for the past three days...

Perhaps next year as we really wanted to make it together. Was looking forward to meeting many of you for the first time!

Ben,

Perhaps you've already done this... but another cool way to raise some funds and/or offset the food costs would be to sell "official" Trainstock T-shirts.  Just be sure to go extra on the kids sizes and of course the XL and XXL adult sizes!!!

One of these years I hope to see your club's layout in person... And of course sample Vinnie's Italian cooking.

Have fun today, everyone!

David

Thanks to all the NJ Hi-Railers and all who helped them out today for their hospitality at Trainstock 5.  It was my first one and I was awed by the layout and the lunch provided was unbelievable.

Ben, it was nice talking youth hockey with you.  Now that my son plays in college it's not the same.  I miss all the time at the rink.

Joe

Alex,

I was looking at the green building you made for the NJHR layout, I know you use 1/4birch plywood and it was obvious the windows were scratch built but what do you use for the brick work?  Did you also build the triangular piece on the corner?  If you did what did you use for the frosted glass in the windows?

And please thank Dina for helping the NJHR crew serve lunch to all of us.

Joe
