I got an email earlier today from TrainWorld showing two of their custom runs from the new Lionel Catalog now available for preorder! They’re some sweet looking United States Army ES44AC’s!

N&WGuy,
Thanks for your post and thanks to TrainWorld, I just ordered the 1942 version.
A perfect trifecta - DOD Veranda + Army Sharks + ES44AC (1942)
I also saw this yesterday and ended up buying the 1942 as well. Great looking ES44's
I couldn't decide so I pre ordered both the 1942 and the 1943.
I attempted to preorder the 1943 version yesterday, but for some reason was not able to log into my Trainworld account. 1943 was a very special and important year for me, so that would be the appropriate model even though I am considering selling much of my U.S. Army diesel motive power and giving my layout an all-steam (U.S. Army) theme. I have enough steam power (nine USA locomotives, with three more on preorder) to give me just about all I might need.

Allan,
Have you ordered anything from their new website yet? If no, you need to create a new account for the new website. I believe Trainworld sent something out on this problem when they launched the new website. I had this same issue, and all was resolved with creating a new account.
Bryce
Haha thanks, Bryce you beat me to the punch! That was the issue and emailed him privately on how to get set up.
Your customer support is spot on! If you live on Long Island and need a job let me know! lol

I do hope to swing out to LI soon so I can finally visit the store in-person

Got registered on the new website this evening, and hopefully/successfully placed a preorder for the 1943 version. At least it's in my cart. Thanks, Ken and Bryce.
My 1942 showed up today.
Mine are on track to arrive tomorrow. Will post some pictures when they are in hand.
So I should have preordered one on these. Does it have any special sounds exclusive to this engine -music or whatever. Thanks
It has an Air Raid siren as one of the horn sounds. I picked up the 1942 version and absolutely love it, looks amazing and runs extremely well.
