Trouble with new Lionel 4-6-0 | O Gauge Railroading On Line Forum

So being a T&P “nut” I bought one of the Legacy 4-6-0’s. Yes I knew the boiler color was wrong and other accuracy shortcomings. When I test ran it on a friend’s ZW conventional operation powered layout it immediate shorted out. Charles Ro kindly set up a return to Lionel and I have it back. It does run but it’s balky and when it runs the chuff cuts in snd out. The front headlight blinks when you give it commands but does not stay on. It’s Bluetooth and Lionel command capable, I prefer plain and simple but should I try to get into those? Or send it back to Lionel again?

Send it back for warranty service. Mine works fine. I repainted it to get the color a little closer. Can't do anything to help the shape of the boiler casting. It's just the wrong shape and size casting for the T&P boiler.

I have a couple of the new 4-6-0 locomotives they run fine. If yours is malfunctioning, by all means, send it back!

BTW, your videos don't display, all I see is this.
