hello i bought an septa aem 7 from mth , i drive on tubular track , powered on a dc transformer 0/20v 10 amp , recently i bought a traxx from mth and when i apply power , the system recognize easylly the current , and i have juste to push more or less electricity to mahe start the engine , that is ok

on the dcru , following the process , i start , earing the twoo bells , reduce power an put over 10 volts after , and i eard a clik around 14v , but the engine dont want to go in any direction , at each time it do the same , haw to quit this mode 'reset ' ? for info the engine is very correct

Thanks for help ,i had no whistle blowing ,just twoo bells applyng power and red lights every where ,i hear a relay (same as railking ) when i increase voltage to 15 ,when i cut current the lights dead in 4 seconds ,i ve no experience about proto ,i ll try a new batterie first ,after i ll see .... it ll be sad to downgrade to an railking monitoring

Hi David.....Has your engine ever run on DC current?   I believe proto-1 was designed to run on AC current otherwise  you might get constant whistle blowing?

You may need a new battery as well.  Most proto-1s need a good battery to get out of reset.

hello gregg , battery is ok ,now , engine first in dc current take the sames actions before changing battery , i found an old hornby 100/20v(dimmable) transformer start the reset with ac ,superpose ac and dc one second and start in dc , reverse /forward is ok and the aem respect the process during driving in dc , only the horn stay on during drive also led flash and light of way of drive , i stop for tonight and see if its good memorized , anyway , i can do reset whith a frend of paris who have an mth z 400 or 4000 , proto sound like ac current it seem to be that, thanks for help gregg
