I am in the process of setting up my first permanent display and wanted to ask a question before I cause any damage.
I am using the TW transformer and hooking up my 0-31 switches using the fixed voltage plug. My old 1955 train manual (held together with scotch tape) states the fixed plug should be connected to post C.
From what I can determine, on the TW, post C delivers 18 volts of fixed voltage which I think is too high and would melt the switch lantern. The TW also has a post D which supposedly puts out 14 volts.
Can I hook up the fixed plug to the D post instead of the C post per the instructions to be on the safe side?
Thanks in advance.
