Wally's Supermarket?
I think it's a diner or fast food place that serves beer! There you go my brother! LOL
Thanks Play, I think Wild Mary has jumped ship on the Brewery! LOL
I hope it has a small foot print. as you can see, there's not much real estate left in downtown Menardsville
Dear Menards,
Please give Dave his brewery! I always know what the first post will be on these until it happens I'd be in for a brewery too.

Bob, you just might have to evict somebody! LOL
Mark, when is the big announcement? Early next week?

Good question.
We have a pretty good idea when they will arrive but I don't want to put my foot in my mouth and give a release date yet. I would suspect sometime in the next two weeks would be a safe guess.

How about another hint
The many buildings will need to be rotated in and out of storage and onto new displays.

Good question. It depends on if they pass the quality test too.

Why would they even be shipped if quality was an issue? Sorta' seems backasswards to me.
Quality passes in China does not mean it passes here. It probably sent out in not actually tested other than the sample models

Two weeks ? I can't promise how good my credit is gonna be by then
Mark, not counting this item, do you have any plans for any additional items to be released before Christmas?
Wouldn't it be cheaper to send someone from Menards to do quality inspection in China, in case it fails the expense and time of shipping failed goods back is spared?

Maybe not cheaper.....faster? Yes. I work with a company that manufactures hobby products in China. As many companies that have products made in China there are just as many QC agreements. NOT knowing what Menard's agreement is....let's look at what is typical. A QC sample is sent, approved by owner. Product is produced and shipped. Item fails stateside QC and owner returns. All this cost is often charged to the manufacture. (add to that shipping USA to China is a small fraction of cost China to USA) It boils down to the terms of manufacture....but my guess is Maenard's folks are smart enough to have a deal beneficial to them.
Side note....I passed on working for a different hobby company once because it required 3-4 trips to China a year. NOT my idea. and many others, of a good time.
We are getting closer to our next release. Here's another tease for you!
Merry Christmas!

Well, now we know it's Wally's Repair Station.
They might be going for a fake out and it will be Wally's Seafood cafe.

That surprises me about shipping.
I can find many items with free shipping from China.
It looks to be between $9 and $13 to mail the first ounce to China.
I guess container traffic is different because so few things go from the US to China?
It would be a way to get their containers back as well.

Think of it like trucking companies that charge little for 'back haul' often just to pay cost rather than run empty......my daughter in law owns a trucking company that hauls wood products out of WV....and uses back haul to reduce cost.
Make it Sunoco and I will buy it.
Looks to me like a service station. I guess Menards wants us to have one so the beer delivery trucks from the brewery have a place to fill up.
Yes Wild Mary , it's best to have all the infrastructure in place before the brewery's arrival.
The way things are going though my layout is filling up with Menard's structures. I do have a spot I'm holding open for the brewery and hope they don't delay this project to much longer.

Don't they make Shell beer??? LOL...
It's the new swim suit top for Christmas that the wife has been dropping hints about!!
WOW, thanks Mark...
The meds are working. I stay reserved now when I hear the word Brewery mentioned. As I calmly write I have my little backup. Not as nice as a Brewery from the Great and wonderful Menards. If this would happen by Christmas I would more then be happy but if it doesn't I am just as happy with some coal. Pic of my little, little backup brewery. And it is just a sliver as to what could be. Honest Santa I have been good. Well at least better then last year. Send me a brewery....Paul

Maybe it will have interchangeable signs like the billboard.

I don't know about that, but I've had some beer that tasted like it came from a shell.
Doug
Its a Shell Brewery! they also sell oysters there! LOL
Nice picture Gilly! Gives whole new meaning to "coming out of your shell" LOL
Gas station might leave me out, I just bought a Cornerstone Built Ups ESSO station. Mainly because my first real job was at a ESSO back in1970 when I was 17.

Well I'll be dipped in mud! They do make Shell beer.

Menard's lighted vehicles are the coolest layout accessory. Hoping for many more styles
I would be glad to SHELL out a few extra coins for this, but where in the shell is it going to be placed on the layout ? Oh well, I SHELL return with an answer.. OK playtrains,,your turn.. LOL...
