Yes - I have done the upgrade job on a NYC subway car.  Lights on a PS3 upgrade are numerous and you can get  more than PS1.  Plenty of room inside, just be careful and do not pinch any wires.  Sound files are out there, make use you get the correct 3v file and download the zip file.  You need the  'flash' for the 3v sound file.  Follow the instructions for uploading the sound files carefully.  Good luck.

You mean you use the flash code for the PS-3 Sound File for a subway, but load the 3V sound file of the engine sounds you want.   G
