Last night on its way to Bellevue Nickel Plate Road 765 traveled on home rails through Lorain, OH. A friend and I drove out to the Black River lift-bridge to see it come through town. Besides us the only other spectator was a very friendly Fort Wayne Railroad Historical Society volunteer who offered us cookies. We did not have to wait long for the locomotive to show up as 5 minutes after our arrival we heard it whistle for distant railroad crossings. After it crossed the bridge we got back in the car and were able to see it but not get any good shots of it in Vermilion.

At some point today the 765 will be heading back east to the Cuyahoga Valley Scenic Railroad via the Wheeling & Lake Erie. A good spot to see it is at the Lorain County Fairgrounds in Wellington because it always has to stop to get clearance to cross the old Big Four now CSX line.
