Virginian Aux Tank Conversion...

Very fine work Matt. I take it the rivet detail on the new sheets were done with wire placed through holes rather than embossing?

No, this was not the one featured in OST. If you look closely at that one, and compare it to the one I built, you'll note several differences.

Yes, the replacement rivets are the superb 7/8" Archer resin details.

The original body was etched and was too thick to emboss, not to mention that it was already formed, making any kind of embossing nearly impossble.

In addition, drilling hundreds of holes to install brass replacement rivets (that would have been oversized) would be beyond onerous.
