After hearing others thoughts, the 2-10-4 Texas type with multiple steam features seems like a strong possibility. It makes sense with the comments Lionel made about adding additional steam features to an engine that previously had just the blowdown effect. Also, it offers the ability for a few roadnames, which Lionel seems to aim for now. It wouldn't be as great as a VL Niagara or PRR T1 but it still would make for one hell of an engine.
Jeez Star Trek Continues new episode is released today too. What to check out first.

Well now, that is going to be on my list, lol. I better call the loan office, haha. I hope they don't have bugs in the thing. I still have to talk to Alex M to get my CCII upgraded, that will be a bit yet. Hopefully they talk more about this tomorrow, maybe I can ask Ryan for more details or whomever is available.
I was not expecting to be surprised, and yet I was! Safety valve steam, a strain-gauge coupler, and a "water spray effect." If it all works technologically, this could be a great engine to operate. Despite my preference for MTH, I must commend Lionel for their continual efforts at innovation with technology and features.
Now for the real question: Will this be the first $3,000 dollar Lionel engine?
