Yesterday I threw it on the track to run and noticed something was off. The engine was responding properly. All sound/light functions worked as normal indicating the engine was receiving the correct commands but no movement. I checked the brake and momentum right off the bat and no issues. Did a quick reprogram then reset and no fix. I checked both sets of drivers for any mechanical binding or resistance and both seem to have no issues. I started playing with it a bit and found the engine would start moving around speed step 25. and sometimes not until speed step 30-31. Same in both directions but never before speed step 25. cab light cuts out at 1 and and grounds lights work correctly as well. sometimes you'll get a chuff right before it starts to move. On the first step it moves it will sometimes stop and then start again but not in an erratic fashion. its all very fluid. Almost reminds you oh how and mth engine starts at super slow speed. Anyone experienced this before? This engine has seen more run time than any other in my fleet and has been asked to pull 100 car trains on many occasions. She's probably due for a heavy freshen up. I have not opened it up yet due to limited time but thought I'd put it out to yo guys to see if you had any thoughts before we dig in. Thanks as always! I can share videos if better evidence is needed.

Check to see if Odyssey is turned off, it's under the dome lid with the smoke and program switches.
I had a very similar problem with mine after Lionel replaced the RCMC board. It needed a cap installed across the motor leads. Since you haven't said yours is repaired recently I suspect it's not the same issue.
I may be obvious or over simplifying- but when I have that issue, I find that usually have failed to take the throttle up to full power, and/or I have not fully extended the handheld antenna. I am using TMCC Cab1 and those two things seem to be needed for the locos to respond.
You might check out the video I posted on this thread. This is what it’ll do if the Cap is not installed if thats not your symptoms I would lean that something is amiss with Odyssey.

I feel really silly. You called it Sir. I never mess with the switches since I always run command but somehow the Oddssey system got turned off. Love an easy fix. Thanks John and everyone who chimed in.
I love the easy ones. Glad it was a no-charge fix.
