Maybe I'm just naive. I jumped when Walther's offered the Phoenix Fuel kit (probably late 90s). I never really thought about the prototype. The built-up kit is a fixture on our modular layout.
Fast forward to 2017 when I was collecting my pictures for my NYO&W anniversary thread.
Here is a picture of Middletown yard about 5 weeks before the O&W closed.
It sure looks like Phoenix Fuel there on the right!

Wow Thats a great find I visited an HO layout once that the owner displayed the picture of the real structure next to his modeled ones on the layout
I built it for my original layout. When I tore it down, I gave the office building to someone and kept the rest of the kit. I never thought I would have a layout again. Now that I have a layout, I could kick myself for giving that building away. Wish I could find one to replace it.

Pete, I bought it too when they first came out. Funny thing it is still sitting in the box. But looking at that old pic it sure could be the same. Now that I am working on a second layout in the house this is one I will work into it......Paul

On the Fort Pitt Highrailers layout.
I loved my Phoenix fuel model. The perfect compact size for a narrow part of my (former) Youngstown & Southern RR.
It now graces a friend's O scale layout and the truck is delivering residential heating fuel at a reasonable, (for 1958) $.89 cents a gallon. 
Of course Atlas now markets this under their "Hillside" brand as Deep Rock Gas & Oil, item #6908.
Quick search shows lots of dealers offering this....even on sale!!!
