Hello,I need 2 sets of SANTA FE spelled out in YELLOW,in postwar Lionel style that go on the sides of the engines.I have a custom set of Blue&Yellow F'3's,that need the lettering 'SANTA FE" on the sides.I also need the Made By Lionel and GM decal that went on the sides. In other words, everything that was heat stamped at the factory by Lionel for the POSTWAR SANTA FE"S.

I'm sure if you made these TONS of people would buy them in BLACK,for restoration of The FAMOUS RED & SILVER SANTA FE's,and I would be one of those as well, purchasing many sets for clients.

My Request for a set done in Yellow is an oddball one. But if you made a set in black for everything Lionel heat stamped at the factory, including the 'MADE BY LIONEL" and GM located at the rear of both sides of the diesel,my bet is they would sell like hotcakes!!!

And although it would probably be difficult,if you could make a decal of the silk screened SANTA FE STRIPES ,they would probably sell good as well.

Usually, the silk screening still looks good on these, but is a job in itself to tape off.If you could just lay a new decal of the silk screened stripes down over the new paint,it would eliminate a lot of the level of taping skill needed to redo one of these.

These are famous,if not thee MOST FAMOUS LIONEL POSTWAR ENGINES EVER PRODUCED.They also sold more of these engines than any other I believe during that period,so the numbers are there for merit of reproducing decals that would fit exactly, and go over the worn out heat stamped black on these engines. And as long as you're at it,you might as well do the nose decal in yellow& black. These are more than often damaged, and it would be of value to someone redoing the Red part of the Santa Fe's

Also,The lettering for the Madison cars, I'm sure would be another top seller.

I will buy those 2 sets done in yellow  for certain if you can make them. But the same idea, done in black, would probably turn out to be one your biggest sellers.I'm sure if you put together a real"SET" of decals for Postwar Lionel Santa Fe's,many wore of them would get restored. This would have to include the nose decal, the side Santa Fe spelled out in postwar serif, and the Made by Lionel and 'GM" decal located on the rear of both sides of the engines.

Please let me know if you can produce a set of these in yellow for my project, but I believe I have just gave you a real money maker idea here, with the BLACK SET for the most popuar, biggest selling, and still most wanted train that Lionel ever made.

Sincerely,Kenny Baughman

Microscale only made them for 85' flats but nothing for 89' Flat's, Auto racks, Centerbeam Flats, and double stack cars!

I like this suggestion. It would be especially nice to have decals to re-decorate and customize the Lionel auto racks.

And if you really want to know, we modern modelers would like decals for trailers and containers, including 40, 45, 48 and 53 foot trailers, and 40, 45 and 48 foot containers. (There might be a market for 53 foot container decals too, but no one mass produces a model yet).

Speaking for myself, I could really use the simple blue Santa Fe circle cross herald that appeared on ATSF trailers and containers in the early 90s. Not the big billboard "Santa Fe" lettering--Microscale did those. Just simple blue circle-cross heralds. A bonus would be if the decal set included data to do either 45 or 48 foot trailers, and 40, 45 and 48 foot containers.

Other trailer road name suggestions include: AXXA, Alliance, Strick, TIP, Preston, Roadway, and JB Hunt.

If those are idiosyncratic requests... well, you did ask. Thanks nonetheless.
