Anyone know where I might be able to find parts for the Weaver flat car with trailer as pictured below. I need the fold down ramps and the two little pieces that hold the ramp to the car.
I know Weaver has been out of business for awhile, but was wondering if there remaining parts had been bought by some dealer

You can buy these ramps, called bridge plates, from Atlas parts. They are not exactly like the Weaver ones because they are for a standard 89' Trailer Train type flatcar, but if you used them in pairs, they'd look fine, IMHO.
Lionel also has the ramps but are not a direct fit. Another option is make a mold of one of your ramps and cast your own. This outfit has all you need to do this.
BTW Lionel has the molds for Weaver TOFCs. It would be nice if they made the parts available.

I have been for years trying to locate parts for these. Lionel does have the molds but there might of been problems with the molds or some other reason because they were suppose to make the Weaver TOFC's for the TCA a few years back but ended up substituting their own PS-4 flat with trailer. Maybe you can find someone who can 3D the parts......Paul 2
You may want to call Len's Trains Shop in Irwin, PA. He bought a lot of stuff from Weaver when they went out of business.

the Atlas short lift plates are very, very short. Their only purpose on the real cars was to bridge the gap in the case of longer couplers with cushioning. Here is a link to the Atlas parts diagram:
These are Lionel ramps on an MTH car. They use eyelets for the hinges. Lionel car on track two.

Dont forget that Des Plains hobbies O Scale America line has brass bridge plates if you need something more sturdier.
