Train number 350 has arrived on time from Chicago. November 12, 2019 @ 2:39 PM.

Amtrak’s conductor has a cup of coffee as she is preparing to take train Number 355 @ 5:35 PM back to Chicago. A CN autorack goes speeding by kicking up snow at 40 mph. I was told that this train is taking finished vehicles from Flint - Saginaw plants to Windsor, Ontario via the Detroit - Windsor Railroad Tunnel.

The engineer is boarding Amtrak’s Midwest Siemens Charger to Chicago.

Last Stop:  Ask for a hamburger and I was told they only have cheese burgers & ask for a Pepsi and I was told they only had Coke. That's a Win/Win situation! (Curious, they aren't capable of cooking a burger without placing cheese on it afterwards?

It is late 1949 (it is always late 1949 here on the Pomfret Division), and a Pennsy merchandise consist is passing by on the mainline.  The L2 is normally not used for this run, but the J1a had a failed bearing and went to the shop.  Its been a long time since this 30 year old engine has gone this fast, and folks near the track swear they heard "Whee!" as the engine passed. 

This is a K-Line engine upgraded with ERR cruise.  The boxcar is MTH.

Here is a group of workbench space taker-uppers that have been recently cleared. They are a combo of found items from storage and some purchases from two Yorks ago along with an eBay score or two (can’t remember now).

Just like Walt, I'm in the process of setting up my Christmas train layout and vintage inspired glitter houses...but my layout won't be anything like the expansive track pattern Walt sets up by a long shot...

I know squat about New York City but do know something about cigarette advertising. The current issue of OGR features an article about Christmas in Manhattan. The wonderful layout sports a Times Square scene where baseball great Roger Maris is puffing on a Camel cigarette. In my opinion, the modeler nailed this spectacular billboard. For those of you who model other American cities, these special Camel ads might have been part of the city landscape too--San Francisco, for example. Anyway, well done Skip Natoli. Lastly, I’ve never seen a photograph of these Camel guys blowing a smoke ring, but plenty blowing puffs of smoke made from piped-in steam.

In all seriousness, if that's what it is, it'd be a great way to teach kids to take it easy on the curves as oppose to learning that at home with a loco flying off a table

That and the train kicked up a very nice breeze.So says people their that day.

My son sent me this picture of Max, our 13 year old Golden Doodle, watching a CSX mixed freight in downtown Philadelphia.....all the other dogs at the dog park bark and run around as the trains pass. Not old Max.....he's been watching trains all his life......it's just a matter of scale. 1

Just pulled out from car shop repair done with truck replacement on grain hopper car.

My new Hudson from Mth  Railking ,   She is a great smoker !  She runs well so far .  

We had our open house this past weekend and here are a few photos plus a couple of video clips. Big turnout.
