More photos of my New York Central P2b electric motor #223 on my 12’-by-8’ layout. The building at the right side of the first photo was scratch-built from styrene. I built all the other buildings from kits.

Recieved this MTH RailKing Amtrak GG1 (PS3) for Christmas.  It will be the last train to run on the tree layout before dismantling happens on Sunday.

I had a fun day running trains.....some friends grandkids were in town.....so, I fired up the modular layout.....

running what I like to call the Hiawatha chief ,was a Christmas present to me many years ago,love the whistle 

Railfanning at the eastern end of Mifflin interlocking. The tower is visible in the distance in the first photo. The highway bridge is a scale model of the PA Route 35 overpass built by the Pennsylvania Department of Highways in 1964. The MTH F-3's are pretty old but have been retrofitted  with TMCC by TAS, and my son Steven has added tons of details like roof antennas, a fixed pilot, Kadee couplers, and much more. Planning on finally getting these engines and many others weathered after the upcoming NMRA regional convention here in Pittsburgh next May:

My Christmas present. S.B.R. FM Trainmaster #200 "Damon" My good friend John did a fantastic work when scratch build this beauty. This is a dummy version and i am gonna build later service platform and put that beauty on there.

Trumptrain, Could you please furnish info on the boxcar in your last image? I've searched the internet visually but could not find. A manufacturer or model number would be greatly appreciated. Just to be sure I'm asking about the cardinal boxcar. Thanks.

Love the stonework on the viaduct!

A 44 Tonner sits on a track waiting for clearance as a DR-12-8-1500/2 with a 78 car train pulls out of the arrival/departure track.  The little shifter fantasizes about pulling that many cars but its twin diesels can only generate 400 hp total, a bit less than the 3,000 hp of the Centipede.

The 44 Tonner is a WbB and the Centipede is Lionel.

Steve - the car you inquire about is a MTH Railking.  It's one of their Season's Greetings boxcars.  I bought it new at York from the MTH booth for $20.00 a few years ago.   I'm not sure what year it was manufactured. Sorry I don't have more info.   As my train boxes are all stowed away,  I would have to do some real digging to find it.

I took this today just before we (National Capital Trackers) closed for the day at the B&O Railroad Museum.

We take it down 4PM New Year’s Eve.

Well, after some passenger car issues, I decided freight would be better to run behind the S2 electric. Passenger cars were too heavy to be pulled on the Christmas Tree layout, that and the O42 curves made it real hard even though the MTH cars say they can run on that.

I get to show off some stuff from my York purchases as well as one I got from Allentown. Glad I got to do some running after shoveling stone for almost 3 hours in on and off rain today.

I took way too many pictures(as usual), didn't use some but that's okay. What got me on the S2 electric was how exactly to replace the traction tires on it. Directions said remove the side frames. Well, I took things apart but the side frames weren't coming off anyway I saw. What I did was use my mother's old bookmark to use like a tire spoon to get it on. It was pretty effective but I wouldn't recommend it. Heck, it was better than having to run to the train store and pay to get it on. Needless to say those heavyweights won't be run by electric again, I'll use steam and if I have to, Diesel.

Johan the Trainmaster is great.  did John do the whole thing or did you do the weathering once he finished the build.  I hope pictures were taken during the build because I see another magazine article in the future.

Joe. Thank you. Yes, John made a almost all work, i just added couple small things later and if i found sometimes couple detailling parts i can added them too. I have a lot pics. 🤝

Peter,  I love this church scene. Although the church is different, it reminds me of the little wall at the church in Mayberry on the Andy Griffith show. Looks natural to me. Nice work.

This so real even the guy selling papers it brings back memories of the 50's, when church got out he was always there, sold a lot of papers.
