Thanks Scott for getting us going for this fine upcoming weekend! Here are my photo of fun! Have a wonderful weekend everyone!!
Visited a very nice Lionel Super O layout today, only part of the layout shown here, (sorry trains were parked on sidings at the time.) He has many many shelves full of complete Lionel sets throughout the basement. The Super O track looks good with scale scenery.
Some of my American Flyer steam engines. This picture was taken back in the seventies. No two alike. Each one was different.
Great to see Gerry's Super O layout !
Painting this week.....Monday-Tuesday-Wednesday were 3 days of great weather......
Initial base coat.....
Awnings.....
Secondary color added.....
Weathering.....
That's a lot of blue tape!
Weathering detail parts......
Have a great and safe weekend, folks.......
Peter

O scale action with PRR Sharks.

SIRT, I love that track maintenance car. Did you buy it or scratch build it?

Lionel put out a ton of those over the years. I decorated it many years ago. I added all of the external parts and signage. It's not scale but it still fits in with the RK Subway work cars.
You can find them on the bay, many times for 15 bucks. No one wants that stuff anymore.
K-LINE (scale) ORE cars are $10 -15 also.
While posting photos to the Steamers topic, I realized I only had one good photo of my MTH PRR M1b. So I took a few more.
The Trackers show at the Armed Forces Retirement Home in DC two weeks ago was fun. i saw a WW2 veteran again this time that I met two years ago. That’s me and him talking in the picture above. He is 93 years old. He joined the Army at 16, he lied about his age. Became a Sherman tank driver in the European theater. He stayed in for Korea and Viet Nam, made a career out of it. Sharp as a whip, in good shape, with a great attitude and spirit like the other vets I have met there. He was very interested in my 1:48 Sherman tank on the flatcar. He likes war movies, and thought “The Longest Day” was the best WW2 movie.

More outstanding weathering, SIRT. What’s funny is I’ve had this wonderful car for about a month and didn’t realize that the doors and vents opened, LOL! Glad I caught your post and maybe I should read the instructions next time.
Green car still in box. Happy Saturday!!
A 2021 Christmas Layout memory
finishing up with mini-scenes on the plateau
Two of my nephews bought this billboard but switched out the signage and gave it to me as a 'Thank you' gift for hosting my annual family train party.
