Running trains in at the garden railway club. Lots of fun. They have a new mini rail steam engine! The kids love the cartoon figures, and lots of color, Thomas  etc,

I normally do not run trains this fast especially the 2 rail, but was running fast to get it all in for the video. I bring a different set of trains to run each day for variety. On the hotter days have been using the Williams engines rather then the higher end engines. They get pretty hot in the mid day sun. Do not want to fry expensive circuit boards.

Friday rush hour on the rails begins in Patsburg.  B&O RDC cars departing on track 2 as a Camelback with a  Reading commuter train has just come to a stop.

Last week I was out of town and only had time to post one photo that was on my cell phone without any information about what was in the scene. Here is that same picture:

OK, so here is some information along with more photos. That is a scene of Longfellow PA which is a few miles west of Lewistown. I tried to capture the rural nature of the area by only including on structure in a long stretch of scenery rather than just throwing in every building I own. The house is a limited run Lionel house that was designed by Harry Heileke (sp?) and it includes tons of details like brick mortar, downspouts, shrubs, awnings, and much more. It's a great model and I have not seen any on sale for a long time. I added a foundation and an integral garage which is so common in the hills and mountains of Pennsylvania. It also has typical stone walls along the drive way and the stairs leading up to the front door.

Now here are views to the east and west showing the rural scenery and cornfields along with PA Route 103 passing through the countryside. The Penn Central mainline (ex-PRR Middle Division) has now been reduced down to two tracks (was actually three in the PC era and reduced to two by Conrail in the mid 1980's).

And here's one I added late with a PC train blasting east towards Enola:

In an unrelated topic, here are some Supertrees hanging in my workshop last night while they dry after applying ground foam. They will be used in the area of the layout depicting Spruce Creek which is currently under construction:

From our Open House last weekend......we had between 40-50 visitors, which for a summer weekend, is pretty good.

Great videos, Peter, but the one above is my favorite. I feel like that kid every time I run my trains, LOL!

Utacolzona Railroad in On30 (2020 - 2022) Update 8/13/22

Came across these 3 shots of our club's very first public set up and a local senior home in their lobby. That's me on the left with Dr Dave Alsop center and Ed Ryning right. Sadly The Doc and Ed have both passed some years ago. This is an old image - early 2010 perhaps. The water in the foreground came out pretty well - Modgepodge...

My MTH special run Flat Car w/ 2 Clark Bar Pup Trailers arrived this week from forum sponsor Beth Marshall at The Public Delivery Track located here in CA in nearby Paso Robles. This beautifully detailed freight car has a nice place on the layout passing my Miller Clark Bar sign every so often:

Very Nice, every time I visit a senior center, I look for a spot where a train layout would fit. Even a temporary set up like this probably brought back memories and brightened their mundane lives. Sorry your friends are gone but their generosity as well as yours lives on in photos.

Especially with operating Gresley Valve Gear.

I should have added this to my post.  In 1956 #9000 actually pulled a farewell round trip Denver-Cheyenne excursion train.

I just wanted to share this video of Lionel's Union Pacific #9000.  I ran this afternoon. I think it is a really nice Locomotive.
