I still need to run down the eccentric valve gear for my refurbished Flyer 424:
Any suggestions for a source, or best to just look for a rat-box donor?

Looks Good!
Nobody makes reproductions, so you will have to find a junker for donor parts.

As I suspected...thanks for the input.
DANIEL: That Marklin live steamer and those accessories are tres magnifique! Amazing they survived!
...just two of the Friday regulars (tinplate) ...and a party crasher (O scale non-tinplate)
As you can see - American Flyer's ART car is a very good representation of the actual prototype.

Picked up this custom Dorfan boxcar from eBay. Really well done, love that it is rubber stamped. The only flaw was he did not use Dorfan couplers. I will have to remedy that.

Steve,
That looks great. I am still trying to figure out how to customize this car and was likely going to go with some sort of decal, but rubber stamping is an option that I had not thought of.
I can only guess by the green doors that it is a Great Northern or Nickel Plate car. All I am sure of is that due to the smooth sides and smooth roof, that it is a 3008 lithographed boxcar c. 1925-1927. It was an ebay $20 special.

I keep turning over rocks and crappy stuff keeps falling out
This week brought me a Brimtoy GW Double Bogie wagon ( UK )
And because it was local here in Aussie , I couldnt let these go by ...
Clockwork Lionel Vandy shell & tender
And seperately from the same seller a Lionel Whistledrive clockwork drive unit That should be a slot in unit for my Lionel Jr 1588 unit that was crusty and missing a drive wheel
Worth it for me just for the lovely whistle drive cog !
Found Brimtoy too. A No 300 train from 1929 in a uncommon colour.
And much repairs this week. I work on a Bing CLR loco from 1912, found in a bad condition with missing parts.
Soldered holes
Made new front parts
Fill and sand.
A new roof.
And working on a big Bing lamp from 1910, found in bad condition with missing parts.
Made a new flor plate
The lampshade was missing all parts inside, I had made them new.
X-mas balls were used as glass
