I finally located a Wegman Supermarket that still had the Wegman Lionel Train set. It took me 3 days to get in touch with someone and get a response. The store manager where the train is located is not willing to ship the train to me here in Roanoke, VA. He/She will only transfer it to another store for pick up by me. That is not an option for me as I live in Roanoke, VA and I am disabled and ordered not to drive and I do not know anyone in that area to pick one up for me. I understand other stores have been willing to ship to customers homes, but I guess the manager of the store I am dealing with is stubborn and following policy. Not a great way to do business when you have an item in stock that has been sitting there at least 10 months and is on sale (reduced) and doesn't want to clear inventory and make a sale in this days economy. Oh, I have contacted corporate Customer service a number of days ago, they have yet to respond to my requests.
So, if someone is still looking for a set, there is one in Maryland.
