WP, always great to see your posts, photos and videos of my favorite railroads!!! Nice SP/WP mixed freight behind that SP Lines SW1 #1000 switcher!
Thank you Scott. Kindred spirits! I see we both have the same gondola car too.

Forgot this yesterday, but Santa Fe E8m number 82 leads The Chicagoan.
Well here are a couple of my Western Roads, Kline SF S-2 and an SP boxcar. Then a Lionel Spokane, Portland and Seattle boxcar.

Southern Pacific GS4 number 4432 leads train number 98, The Morning Daylight.
Well I don't have too much to offer for this thread, but here are a couple of "Western" RR items.
My Kline Alco S-2 in Santa Fe "warbonnet" livery moving through Small Town on my layout.
Another Kline, this time an EMD MP-15 in UP livery pulling a "Frisco" boxcar parallels the busy highway.

Well Western Roads Fans, it has been nearly 1 month since we posted some pictures of SP diesels...so maybe to raise some interest in posting, perhaps a SP steam engine (GS-4) may help. This a Lionel version from 1991.

I don’t have any espy. But here’s my double Santa Fe GP30s, posted before. The lead engine is a Lionel Legacy and the trailing engine is a gutted MTH PS1 which I use as a dummy.

Thanks everyone for posting. @Yellowstone Special- Really neat ATSF diesels, Santa Fe most welcome here anytime.
@jgtrh62- That is a beautiful model of the Rio Grande diesel - I wish I was good enough on diesels to recognize the model but I am not. However the detailing on the front pilot with all the mu hoses etc is just super!! What a great job!
@WP - Love that cab forward engine , looks really good. Thanks for posting
Best Wishes everyone

Well darn I missed posting last Wednesday, so this is a little late or a little early. Happy Western Roads!

Just beautiful, Don. A classic consist. SF is one of my favorite roads. Thanks for sharing.

@Just Havin' Fun- Tom Thanks for your comment. While I have the big Lionel F-3's and the aluminum cars, they are just too big for my little layout today. This one sort of goes with the layout in terms of size. Again thank you for you compliment.

Well folks, we have been nearly 2 weeks since updating this post. So I am going to give it a try and see if there are some other "Wednesday" fans out there.
First, my Lionel (MPC) # 8351 Santa Fe Alco A in freight colors doing her job moving some boxcars. The #8351 is from 1973-1975
Another piece of Lionel Santa Fe rolling stock, the #19216 boxcar from 1990.
Finally the Lionel # 18601 Great Northern "Columbia" locomotive from 1988
Well guys those are my W.R.W. offerings today, hopefully some other folks will come along and add to the portfolio
Best Wishes

Better late than never! Doesn't get much western that these two, since Western is in the railroad name!
Happy Railroading!

Well folks, here is my WRW post for this week. Using the "old faithful" UP as the basis for the road, here is several pictures for your entertainment.
The Mark E7 locomotive, AB pictured here , from 1960.
Here she is showing us her "B" unit.
Here she is departing with the #3900 UP caboose a very late arrival from 1974-75.

Well WRW fans, here is my "western" input for today. Its a Lionel (MPC) # 8903 DRG Columbia locomotive from 1979-1981. The caboose is a # 9077 DRG from 1976-1983 and then from 1984-1991 uncatalogued is a long runner for sure from MPC.
Best Wishes...Happy "Hump" Day

What a wonderful thread, beautiful trains, beautiful videos, beautiful parts of the USA, @Yellowstone Special Vern, those are two of my favorite diesels, and trains, Wow, @Don McErlean, Don, I love the Rio Grande trains to, and I’ve always wondered why the letters are facing forward and not like a steamer with the flow going backwards? Happy Railroading Everyone

@leapinlarry - thanks for the comment Larry. In fact I have no idea why they face the letter the way they do it does seem the wrong way Great pictures from your layout as well, I do love those "Yellow Bonnets" Santa Fe F units and the RJ Corman trains you posted earlier are great.
Best Wishes

Thank you, Larry. They are the only two roads on my layout in both passenger and freight. 😉
Nice F units Larry and Vern
Still like your favored Santa Fe yellow Fs Larry .
I have the Premier F units in Santa Fe And UP also Vern...........but when I saw the Pennsy F units and passenger cars.......well.

Thank you, Dallas. Nice Pennsy passenger cars you have there. But, since when was the PRR a western road?
Pennsy wasn't Vern . Just saying I had the two western roads that you had ........I guess I could use a little latitude to explain the Pennsys for western roads after seeing a Santa Fe F3 in a video running near a Pa. town.
( I'll try not to show the Pennsy passenger cars on this thread again )
