What does the "cs-" stand for on Lionel part numbers?

I guess I just missed that part, also the part where they explained what the "-p" suffix means. And also the part where they explained if a SKU# = a model or part number - e.g. why does the 600-12020 have a SKU number of cs-6-12020 - they dropped the two zeros!

Would you kindly point me to where Lionel explains all this? Thanks!!
