So I stumbled across this Marx freight station. I have never seen one like it so brought it home.
I am not at all familiar with Marx accessories but this thing was too big and cool to pass up. Can someone tell me what I now have?

You've got something I want.

Thanks so much for the info link! The one I found has the large ramp but not the smaller one. No figures or boxes.
The ramp is pretty up at the folds but overall the lithograph paint looks great all around. The corners need a little attention but what a huge beautiful piece!!
Really nice find!
Its amazing what you can find when you're not really looking. Mrs. Z suggested we go to the B & O museum today for my birthday. I found this in the gift shop for $65. Some what like Papa Eastman, I feel like I stole it.
Pretty neat looking. Love the detail, from the lithographed bricks to the interior. Enjoy!

PS-there is one currently on eBay with a "Buy it now" price of $139.99.
These were primarily a "playset", not part of the Marx train line up of accessories. At least one train set did however come with the freight station. The station was a second box when you bought the set. These are very common on many O & Std Gauge layouts. The plastic accessories are not difficult to find on E-bay, but the trucks seem to be a bit pricey. There is a fairly hard to find version with lighter colored walls and base, and the roof sections are a wine color. Very attractive.

Nice find and price. I saw an American Flyer club display that had one with the center of the ramp cut out for a track to run up underneath the long roof. Track was at a height so that the box car doors opened level with the platform. Was very cool use of one of these.
I've wanted one of those for a while now...but it does take up a lot of real estate. Great score!
As Papa Eastman has said, Marx collectors have seen a lot of these. I have passed on them because of their size, sorta like the #21 diesel. I have seen a couple in the box with accessories, but didn't pick them up. Too bad Marx didn't make it 1/2 to 2/3 that size.
I agree that it takes up huge amounts of real estate. I pluncked it done on the layout and couldn't believe it. That however was also part of the attraction. I can build track around this, especially for a portable layout module and the size and finish makes it really stand out.
