Well I have to say that the New Year started off great so far for me after loosing out on a MTH CP Sd-90 train last week I woke up today and found both CP engines that I have been looking for for a while now for sale at a great price both from the same person I had the dummy units already, I had the power units before but like everything I own I end up selling it then a year or less later try to find it and buy them back again same thing goes with the lionel GE evolution engine I had ended up selling it to buy the new Bigboy now Im trying to buy it back again also did the same with the acela set sold it right after I heard of all the problems on the forum that it had and only a year warrenty so I sold it for twice what I paid at the time now trying to find another one, does anyone do the same thing as me sell a item to raise the cash to buy something you want more. and then the last couple days kept getting beter and better was able to buy back most of my engines i sold in the past year or so all these engine and tank cars the first 3 days of the new year     https://ogrforum.com/t...13#37470280250324713

What is the first new train of the New Year that you will buy??

I wasn't thinking about it in exactly those terms, but I just a few moments ago paid for my first trains of 2015.  I bought a tinplate passenger car consist manufactured by ACE Trains.  For those of you who are unfamiliar, ACE is a U.K.-based manufacturer of "modern tinplate".  These are die-cast and tinplate locos/cars. I think they're stunning.

I don't own the entire consist yet, but Jim Kelly posted a YouTube video several years ago of a similar setup that I've never quite gotten out of my craw.

The first big piece (the coaches) was acquired today.  I found them online and made an offer to a hobby shop in England and he accepted.  I was even able to affirm that he's a good guy through an offline reference from a fellow forumite whom I'm sure many of you know.  It's the first time I've paid for a train in Pounds...

Only 364 days left to buy trains in 2015...

The Lionel Big Boy I reserved should be arriving to my local dealer any time.  I have the 2014 budget prepared for that.  With that included in the year past, my first 2015 purchase will be the Lionel CNW 1385 ten wheeler.  I hope Lionel can provide some production samples soon.

I'm also waiting for a few Milwaukee Road freight cars that Lionel hasn't delivered yet. The PS-4 flat with piggy back trailers and matching truck set is one of them.   ....Robbie

Impatiently awaiting an ERR order so I can bring a few engines into the 21st century.  Also hoping for a quick transaction on 3 Lionel conventional GG1's.  So it's a race to see what arrives first.

Oh yeah....there's also that Neil Young Signature Series Pennsy 2 car add on pack I pre-ordered.  I gave up hope on those a few months ago.
