Rich at the bottom of some pages I see toggle WYSIWYG or something. Can you tell me what it does? Anybody?

WYSIWYG (pronounced "wiz-ee-wig") stands for "What You See Is What You Get." In other words, you are seeing on the screen exactly what you will see in your finished post. You see the Bold Face text, or italicized text, underlined or even a different color, on the screen the way you want it to appear.
Go ahead and click on the Toggle WYSIWYG link and take a look. What you will see then is all the underlying code that makes your text appear the way it does. Click it again and you'll be back to the WYSIWYG display.
Here is the code for the sentence above with the bold and italics, etc:
You see the <strong>Bold Face</strong> text, or <em>italicized</em> text, <span style="text-decoration: underline;">underlined</span> or even a <strong><span style="color: #008000;">different color</span></strong>, on the screen the way you want it to appear.
I edited the title of your thread so more people may know what we're talking about.
Thanks for the quick reply Rich. I cant figure out what we would need this for but i am sure I will understand it better as I post more. I have been here a long time and this site is so helpful and so much fun, and now with that pictures go up so much quicker, its even more interesting. I see Sundays photo fun page has lot's more pictures in it and thats great.. Keep up the good work. kudos to you and the OGR panel.
WYSIWYG is a "push on push off" switch to allow you to view or edit the "guts" or techy information if you are tech savvy, and have a desire to alter the code.
These stunts are performed by professionals. Don't try this at home.
If you know how to edit the HTML then toggle it. You can use the font size= command to make fonts really big

Quite frankly, 98% of us here will never need to toggle that option. And the other 2% will likely break something (at least once) while trying to edit the HTML code directly!
Seriously though, I guess it's nice to have the option for those so inclined to live dangerously. Personally, I avoid editing in HTML at all costs... but it's the way stuff gets done when you need to tinker with web page designs.
TMack, thanks for the videos. I watched 1 & 2 yesterday and i just watched 3. very informative. It's a MicroSoft word program so anyone who knows word will have no problem, for others it's a good chance to learn it.. Again thanks a million to all who helped answer my question.
