That's what an On30 addition is for .

A narrow gauge (ho) supplying the 3 rail mainline

Its still O scale

You know, that sounds like an engine I would consider as well (provided it can negotiate O31 curves).

You'd think pre- 1900's models & little trains never existed .

I've seen the battle won.

The mountain of Berkshires was overcome early.

The last elusive Hudson shopping was next.

After that, the critters got all got caged.

Leading to all the feathers being in Gramps cap.

When I try to imagine that carried through till today, I think every War Bonnet, could take a very big chunk of wall

Right down to permanently coupled A-B-B-A's with chain drives from 70's (Williams? It took two people to move it ), Gramps ran them all too.

.....Um, I guess I might be a great nephew.....

 Reds still best

Since I have not purchased anything since November last year I guess my must have locos and cars are what I now have.

All scale PRR: Lionel M1a; K-line K4; Lionel Consolidation; K-Line B6s; Lionel Atlantic 4-4-2; MTH with ERR Decapod. That being said, I am constantly tempted by and enjoy all the photos of neat locos and rolling stock I see on the forum.

I ain't got one and the Dreyfus Hudson is the one I want!!

And have you heard their sounds, esp. when the engine is zipping forward or sounding the horn? Love, man. Love.

You might be able to find the BB1s. They were offered by MTH two years ago but just came out a couple of weeks ago. I just got my preordered BB1s. Check the MTH product locator. I'm with you on the DD1s. I'm watching the catalogs hoping MTH will offer this again.

This is generally considered to be the first successful road freight diesel locomotive in the US. Alco/GE/Ingersoll-Rand built it in 1928, for pete's sake. It lasted into the 1940's, then was turned into a hump trailer, then scrapped in 1953. It carried numbers 1550/1510/510/500 in it's lifetime.

A totally cool loco - and I do like me a box cab. But it's not a straight electric, for those of you who like your diesels, and could run along side modern NYC steam.

Bob A - the NYC ACMU's (original form, if I have my info correct) would be nice.

I've wanted a 226E for a while, but I need to ease off for a while before I go after one.but a current "must have" can change. I never cared for the Pennsy Torpedo until TCM ran The Broadway Limited, and now I have one in the shop getting put together from a bare shell. I was after a 6418/6518 when I went after the Torpedo. Usually when I seriously start looking for something I can find a good deal.

One must have would be a 2454, but at the price these go for, when one does come up, I don't see it happening, unless I find a junker.

For years it was a postwar SF F3.  I got one, although I managed to get the one version with a single motor, so I'd love to get a dual motor version.

the two add on cars for my 15" k-line broadway limited Madison set

the three add on cars and a B F3 unit for my WBB Canadian Pacific 15" passenger set

2534 silver bluff to complete my lionel postwar passenger set

a state of maine boxcar, preferably postwar or postwar copy (not picky on the details, but must have the thin letters)

a postwar lionel 11520 set (to replace the one my dad had as a kid)

and I could go on, would like a larger postwar loco like the 2046, and would love a k-line empire state express Hudson with matching 15" cars (want the k-line because they had the conventional only version)

although these are mostly wants, the must haves I've whittled down over the past year or so: 282R magnetic gantry crane, 246 (or 264?) forklift, staked log dump car, 2531 silver dawn I was missing, etc...

not a “must have” but a very serious “I Want It” – very interesting in early 20th century british rail – looking for quality tin plate – names such as “great western” – “southern rail” – “oliver cromwell” or  “cathedral express” . . . . .

i have the MTH 263 southern tin plate & tender 11-6054-1 and southern 4-Car O gauge 2600 Series set 11-80050 / / i would like engine and cars of the quality and price range

i  really do not know where to begin looking
