About a month ago I started reworking about half of the track on my lower level. I'm replacing a 90 degree crossover with an over/under configuration. Why I decided to do that a few weeks before Christmas I'm not sure. And then for some reason I thought last week would be a good time to start reworking the elevated train loop and now I have half of that torn up. I'm not sure, but I think I'm actually going backwards here.

One more work session for this year on the Eagle Scout layout restoration\reconstruction.

This will be a milestone. Level One and the helix will be completed, wired and running. This will position us to move rather quickly on assembling and wiring the remaining 3 levels next year.

Build the grandson his own table for his house.

Finish a control project for a Canadian train friend. Implementing mods for train control with his JellyBean buttons.

Oh, I almost forgot about my layout. I suppose the most important item would be to complete a huge mountain\double tunnel that hides the electric panel on the wall.

It's ribbed, screened and shot with Right stuff. It has a tunnel base and the mountain is removable for panel access. I was carving with several electric knives, but that became tedious. I will finish with a 4 1/2" angle grinder and steak knife attack. Then some wash and paint.

I have a new skirt to put on also. Anything more will be a bonus.

You do so much for others Carl, glad to see you have something for yourself on the list. I'm sure I'm not the only one anxiously anticipating seeing the rewards of your efforts.

Done here as well.

Switched the Den layout over to the Quilt batting and lit up Ceramic buildings and raised it up 17 inches. This lets me move the layout go back into the shelves there and gives more open floor space. Also keeps the little ones off the track.

Now I just get home each evening and often my grand daughter is there so we go run the Polar Express and she shakes that bell. (Her new favorite toy)

When she screeches in delight it makes my day.

Talking? Not so much, still only 11 months old but she loves the trains.
