so far, it's great! Very nice job by everyone involved!
I am very impressed with the new forum. The first thing I noticed was the speed and there are now so many new options. Will have fun learning all the new features the next few days.

I could do without the profile pictures in the topic listing -- they are quite annoying. I also liked just having the forums in one long list -- now they are in different folders which is also a bit annoying to have to navigate through as opposed to just having to scroll down through.
Too soon to tell...A lot to learn and discover, but initial thought is "impressive"..Nicely done guys.

new. just getting acquainted with site
I like it...Thanks to all who made this happen!
I'll have to get use to it. I'm sure we will learn as we go.
Change is always unsettling. So far, things seem to be going smoothly. I am very pleased at the work Social Strata did in moving all this data over. It went like clockwork.
I made it ! (I Think)
Brad
Like it! Thanks to the OGR Staff for a super job

I'm at work.....so I can't really jump in and try everything out.....it seems great and I know I'll get used to it.
Rich....it's been a great ride for 11+ years.....Thank you for everything you do!

I'm lovin' it....looks great, easy to navigate...and just flat out cool.
Pretty good! Not sure I like the font, and the simple search box at the very tippy top of the page seems odd to me. I'm used to them being near the menu bar on most sites. Other than that, I'm quickly learning how to report the same stupid things I do just like when we were on the old site!
I appreciate the work involved to "improve" the site however I am with VidKidz above. Any thing that makes me work harder on any site, not just this one, means I visit less often. So far, I am going to hold back on my judgement until I have a few days to figure out how to navigate. I most certainly miss not being able to see all the different forums on one page.

I like it so far, can't wait to try posting pics. Thank you to everybody involved!
I like it so far. Just took a few minutes of navigating around to get the forums I visit most often to show on one page.
...I most certainly miss not being able to see all the different forums on one page.

Yes, that is one aspect of this forum platform that is different from the old forum, and I cannot change it. It is not something I have control over in my Admin Console. I also liked the main page displaying all the forums. We'll just have to get used to a different way of navigation.
After a few weeks, this will become intuitive..I hope!
Rich and Staff,
Nice Job! Thanks for the hard work you put into changing the forum.
it will take a while to get used to but so far so good will test picture upload next
Looks Good To Me,
LIVE LONG and PROSPER
It will just take getting used to. Might actually be a little more intuitive than the old software.
It is definitely speedier in loading. Not sure if that's the servers or more streamlined forum code. Whichever it is, everything runs faster.
Fred
I managed to fumble my way in so I guess most anyone could do it...
One added benefit of this new format should be getting away from the "my post isn't on the first page anymore" complaints. With fewer threads listed on the first page, now you will almost be forced to look beyond page one to see what's happened since your last visit to the forum - a good thing!

I like it.
I loaded a photo directly from my computer with no problem. All is good.
Too soon to be sure...
Its new and I feel like I am caught in mouse maze right now...
I have to figure out how to put our club logo on again....
You will note that if you select "Members" in the top menu bar, the entire list of active members is displayed alphabetically, and the original registration dates have been retained (that was a concern to some, as I recall).
I already don't like the Categories page. What is the point of this. Also, why does the page display so narrow when I have such a big monitor. Also you guys killed our little train-gif signatures.
Definitely not an upgrade so far.
Will be worth it though just for permanent storage though.
I like it!
I like it!!!!!
I agree, the sandwiched display is irritating. I can't seem to find a setting to change screen width either. Reminds me of the old BBS days in the 80's when we moved from 20 char displays to 40 char displays and some guys never made the changeover and all of their posts were 1/2 wide - very annoying. So far, I prefer the old software or something like vBulletin vs. this but that's just me.
It's too soon to tell. The old way's the best way? It's like a new bride I guess.
God Bless,
I am on quite a few forums and I must say this is the one is very different. never ran into this format.
However it is pretty easy to use. It has many different options.
Things that could be better. sign-up date next to your handle, post numbers, without clicking on your profile.
plus always remember to un-check the "watch" box, until that is fixed or your email will be very busy.
So far so good, I like the new font.

I just noticed that if there is a second page in a thread and you click on the thread it takes you to the second page first. I really like that feature.
The narrow column this is just aweful. When I attach photobucket images, they are automatically resized down to the width of these tiny post column. Additionally there is no option to zoom and view the image in it's original size (1024x768).
This one thing, plus the lack of signatures on each post makes the new forum a fat FAIL! This looks like some sort of Facebook wannabe.
Like any change...it will take some time to get used to it....but I am sure the folks at OGR would not spend all this time and money if it was not a much better product. A pic of a train...just to test!!!
