Whats' on you radar for the holidays? Trying to find that special engine or car?

Don't know if the "elves" can afford it, but I'm going to ask for one of Lionel's new sound equipped PS-1 boxcars.
Already ordered long, long ago. The Sunset/3rd Rail EMD demonstrator SD7, which should arrive by Christmas.
The new automated water tower with sound from Broadway Limited for me.

I'm waiting on Lionel to deliver their T-1 Northern. Long have a waited for them to re-tool them and re-release them. I got 2100/2101 on order and Im ready to pick them up.
Not a high-end or scarce item by any means, but noticed the Lionel 2016 Christmas box car in Charles Ro's email the other day. Really a nice looking design this year and very pleasing to the eye. I haven't been a Christmas box car buyer/collector in the past but never too late to start.
I'm seriously thinking about picking up a new LGB train for around the tree....the Stainz set from Austria of course! We'll see. I personally have difficulty justifying the amount of $$ involved for a train that will be run 3 weeks a year.
For O Gauge, I've got plenty coming, all before 1/1/2017.
-At least 3 freight cars on order
-1 engine
-Lots of accessories
I think I've got enough for now.....
May pick up some MTH steam but first I need to sell a few things to help offset the cost.

Our local hobby shop has that MTH New York Central model of the Mohawk L4b with the roller bearing rods in 3-Rail, that you have been looking for.
Hopefully a CN 8031. Local hobbie shop has one.
Nope, not trying to find that special engine or car but I think Mrs. Santa has a mini drill press & a mini table saw in her bag. She knows how much pleasure I get scratch building structures so we'll see what's under the Christmas morning.
The MTH NASA ore cars. I have 12 on order. They are due in December but there probably will be a launch delay.
Still waiting on my Lionel gantry crane and culvert loader/unloader set from last Christmas. Hopefully they will be here this year? Also for this year my LHS has a couple of diesels I have had my eye on and they keep tempting me with price lowering. I almost bought them this morning when I was there, so I probably won't be able to hold out much longer.
The plan was Lionel's new GG1. It was even going to pull my Polar Railroad/Express train on my Christmas layout.
The original shipping date was September 2016. I guess I was kinda naïve to hope that I would have it for Christmas. lol
MTH CN ES44acs were supposed to be shipped in November last year in time for Christmas 2015. My Grandson will be getting his Christmas 2016. Better late than never.
$$! And how the hell am I gonna pay for:
- GGD Amtrak El Cap 8 car set comming due
- GGD Sleeper cars
- TWO Lionel Legacy Amtrak F40's
- The Lionel T1 AFT
- Lionel AFT cars.... hopefully due in Jan!
- Atlas O F7's A-B-A set
I still have to focus on selling some of my huge collection, esp some unwanted items from Auction lots purchased.
My radar is to hopefully have this friend of mine fully recover. We miss his rivet counting
I would very much like to find anything from scenery items to single dome tankers cars, or another switcher engine(preferably MTH). If my wife was to buy a set I would be thrilled with the Lionel Gingerbread Junction set for use every year under the tree and the holiday layout a friend and I run every year for our towns yearly holiday event.
Peace on Earth, Goodwill towards Men and a Gift Card to my LHS!
All I want is my wife to survive and recover from her second bout of breast cancer. The rest right now is nothing in comparison.
Sorry to be a Grinch
I want 2 (or more) GG1s. Thats all
Good health for another bit.
Hoping to visit with oldest son and new daughter-in-law sometime for the holidays. Youngest son too!
As for train stuff, perhaps Santa will get lucky at the December TCA show in Raleigh.
My son is planning to visit me with his two dogs as he recovers from his stroke so all I want is for his health to improve. Have enough trains-almost !!
will be going to see the O Gauge layout at Oglebay (and the Christmas lights), planning on getting to the Carnegie Science Center, been a few years since I saw their layout.
and "Dear Santa.....my collection really needs a Lionel 226E......"

No need to apologize. That's about as real a Christmas wish as any of us could ever hope for. You're both in my prayers. We all need to get on our knees and give thanks for our families' health.
totally agree Jeff.
What I have on my radar has almost no bearing on what my wife has for me...
"Next stop Christmas!!!" Well...after Thanksgiving, that is.
And Christmas is a time for giving, so as a way to promote toy trains at Christmas time this year...EVERYONE in my family and those on my Christmas list are receiving their very own "Toy Train in a Tin" set.
Gotta start somewhere...right? Sometime...right? Right!!!
Comes with a Working Locomotive, Cargo Car, Coal Car (tender), Caboose and 12-Piece Oval Track Set. Requires 1 AA Battery...not included...but Hey!, they never are! Also includes its very own Tin Box...for the ultimate in safe transport and storage. Those stockings that are hung on the mantle with care...will be filled with much Christmas cheer...Just sayin...
