It's been so long since I had all systems connected - where does the TMCC Command base and legacy base wires connect to - I recall its Fixed output 1 on the TIU. I am using FXD 1, 2, and VAR 1 for DCS.

If your using the command systems seperate of each other, the TMCC/legacy wire can be connected to any common/u at or going to the track and it should work fine.
Paul,
If you're connecting both command bases, only the "one wire" from the Legacy Command Base gets connected. The TMCC and Legacy bases are connected to each other using the cable that accompanies each Legacy set.
The "one wire"from the Legacy base connects to all of the black terminals of the output TIU channels that are being used to run your trains.
You may also optionally connect the Legacy Command Base to the TIU's serial port using MTH cable #50-1032.
The following diagram from The DCS O Gauge Companion 2nd Edition, page 124 says it all.
This and a whole lot more is all in "The DCS O Gauge Companion 2nd Edition", now available for purchase as an eBook or a printed book from MTH's web store site! Click on the link below to go to MTH's web page for the book!

paul,
if you want to use the DCS remote to run tmcc, you need to plug the tmcc base into the TIU.
if you just want to run tmcc with a cab 1, just run the wire from the tmcc base to each outputof the TIU.
